The Music Society promotes music in the House by providing music to events such as the Coffeehouse, Masters' Open Houses, and the Masters Residence Concerts in memory of John J. Conway Master of Leverett House 1957-1963. Contact the tutors if you are interested in participating, or if you have your own idea for a musical event!

For information on the BSO college card and other deals on music events in Boston and Cambridge, see the student discounts page at the Harvard Office of the Arts:

[edit] Conway Chamber Concerts

The John Conway concerts, named after a former housemaster and generous donor to Leverett, are recitals hosted by Chief and Coach in the Master's Residence. Everyone connected with Leverett is invited to attend and the concerts are a great way to enjoy music, desserts, and be involved in the house.

We are looking for interested performers within Leverett house. You are welcome to play or sing solo, duets, trios, quartets, quintets, sextets, etc. We generally seek classical chamber music, but have also featured jazz, barbershop, South Indian, contemporary (including an all-Leverett-composers concert) and are open to new ideas for enriching the House with music.

Musicians will each receive, in addition to an enthusiastic audience, House-wide fame, and yummy desserts, a $50 honorarium for playing one slot (~8-15 minutes).

If you are interested in participating, please fill out the questionaire on the Leverett homepage.
