Welcome to the BGLTQ community at Leverett House! As BGLTQ tutors, we strive to promote an open, supportive, and lively BGLTQ community in Leverett House. We are here to advise and support students on a wide range of queer issues, including but not limited to coming out, homophobia, family issues, harassment, health concerns, gender identity and expression, and anything else you can think of! We hope you will feel comfortable coming to us to discuss any issue or concern you may have. Our roles are not limited BGLTQ-identifying students, we are here to support and advise allies on allyship issues! No assumption of identity will be made in reaching out or attending an event, we are here to support the BGLTQ community in all forms and roles.
In addition, we plan and host BGLTQ study breaks for the BGLTQ community at Harvard. These have included cupcake decorating, TV screenings (Queer Eye or Pose), and movie showings (Moonlight). If you have ideas for ways to foster the BGLTQ community at Leverett House, please reach out to us! We are eager and excited for new ways to support the community.
For more information on Harvard-related BGLTQ resources, please check out the resources page at the Office of BGLTQ Student Life. For a list of upcoming events, please have a look at their calendar.
