Sackstein
My name is David Sackstein and I’ve been a proud member of the Leverett residential community since January of 2018, when I transitioned from being a non-resident tutor to a resident co-chair of the Pre-Law Committee. Outside of Leverett, I am an associate attorney at a law firm, where I help life sciences clients with the various intellectual property and commercial transactions related to mobilizing and establishing emerging technologies and therapeutics. Prior to starting my current job, I was a law student here at Harvard, and I graduated as part of the Class of 2020. While I was born in Miami, FL and my family is Miami-based, I’ve lived in the Boston area for most of my life. I grew up not far from here in a town called Sudbury, MA and have been in Cambridge for the better part of a decade. I was a member of Harvard College’s Class of 2014 and concentrated in the Comparative Study of Religion with a secondary in Molecular and Cellular Biology. Between college and law school, I worked at Harvard Hillel for a few years before moving to Miami briefly to organize for the Florida Democratic Party during the 2016 General Election. I have a huge range of interests that I've loved sharing with other members of the Leverett community. I played rugby through college; I’m an out-of-practice musician; I find religion, ethics, and spirituality both essential to my understanding of the world and fascinating (I’m a member of the REST Committee); and I’ve remained politically active. I’m very grateful to be here and hope you feel free to reach out!
