My name is Chika Okafor and I am currently a PhD Candidate in Economics at Harvard University, where I research matters of justice—particularly economic justice, environmental justice, and criminal justice. I completed my JD at Yale Law School, my BA in Economics at Stanford University, and am a graduate of the Chicago Public Schools for elementary through high school. Before my PhD studies, I worked on multiple efforts in the public and private sectors, including in management consulting, public education, law, and human rights.  I was born and raised in Chicago, IL.  In my spare time, I enjoy the arts, as well as supporting my hometown football team (Da Bears), the Williams sisters, and Roger Federer.
